A Day In The Life of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics

Oh what a day! Headed up North on Sunday. . .the day of the big game! The USA vs. Canada in Hockey!!! We were on our way by 9:30am just an hour past the time we were supposed to leave, but made it in record time. Just ten minutes through the border crossing though signs posted had told us 50 minutes! WHAT??! Met up with a friend in North Vancouver and took the Sea Bus (kinda of like a ferry, but not really) and made our first stop through the crowds to see the Olympic Torch! Nice, but I was more impressed with the actual torch relay (see post below) but it was a must see and made for some good pics. Then we headed through a sea of RED. . .mittens, hats, flags, balloons, jersey's, shirts, coats, wigs and painted faces, in search of a place to watch "THE GAME"! The lines wrapped around blocks to get into the live city events and bars, however we sneeked our way into Rosies and joined the standing room only crowd! A great game it was, as I quietly screamed a little to loud as team USA kicked Canadian bumms!! Oh what a day, eh!
